Success of the Consorcio del Chorizo Español at IFE
On 20, 21 and 22 March, we were at the International Food & Drink Event (IFE) in London, one of the most important trade fairs in the agri-food sector in the United Kingdom. An event where the Consorcio had the opportunity to present its brand to the professional public and to continue consolidating its brand in international markets such as the English market, a market that is extremely demanding in terms of quality and food safety and which is the main market for the Consorcio del Chorizo Español.
Furthermore, on 20 March, the Spanish Federation of Food and Drink Industries (FIAB), with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), held a reception at the Spanish Embassy in London, to which the Consorcio del Chorizo Español was invited. It was a meeting with more than 60 participating organisations focused on strengthening Spanish and British trade relations. It was attended by Spanish and British authorities, as well as Spanish export companies, British buyers and other institutions related to the sector.
Also present were the Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, José Pascual, who chaired the event; the Adviser for Agricultural Affairs at the EU Delegation to the United Kingdom, Annette Kliemann; the Spanish Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in the United Kingdom, Alicia Villauriz; the Director General for Food, Biosecurity and Trade at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, David Kennedy; and the Director of Internationalisation and International Trade Policy at FIAB, Verónica de la Torre, and the Director of Internationalisation and International Trade Policy at FIAB, Verónica de la Torre, who chaired the event.
